We took a short vacation with the trailer to Gettysburg, Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. This was over the 4th of July weekend so we were able to enjoy the fireworks show in Gettysburg.

  • They had 4 different mortars which varied in size. Here is the biggest.
  • They even camped in tents of the time.
  • This is the smallest mortar being fired. You can see the cannon ball at the end of the smoke.

  • Here they all four fired at the same time and attempted to hit a mound of hay at the end of the fields.
  • I think they hit it, but there was a little extra help under the pile of hay.

  • On the last day we took a horseback tour of the battlefield.
